Privacy policy for kompasx.dk
Last updated: 24 September 2026
This privacy policy explains how WiconSoft ApS handles personal data when you visit kompasx.dk and join the early access list for KompasX. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your data.
1. Who is responsible for your data
WiconSoft ApS is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.
If you have questions about how we handle your data, or want to exercise your rights, contact us at kontakt@wiconsoft.com or on +45 44 22 44 11.

2. What we collect
When you join the early access list, we process the following:
If you sign up for the newsletter via the »News« tab, we process your email address, your first name (if you provide it), your language, the page you signed up from, and the time and version of the consent text.
- Your work email address (required).
- Whether your company uses Kompas4 today (checkbox).
- The language you used on the site (Danish or English).
- Contact person, company and phone number, and – if you provide them – CVR number and number of users.
- When you gave your consent and which version of the consent text you accepted.
- The status of your sign-up (awaiting confirmation, confirmed or unsubscribed), and when it was created and confirmed.
- Your personal referral code and, if you signed up through someone else's referral link, which sign-up referred you.
- Campaign (UTM) parameters and the referring page, where these are included in the link you followed.
- Technical data such as your IP address in server logs and for abuse prevention (see section 7).
3. Why we process your data, and on what legal basis
We use your data to run the early access list, confirm your sign-up, work out your place in the queue, invite selected companies to early access and send you news about KompasX.
For the early access list and newsletters, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
For server logs, rate limiting and other security measures, we rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our systems against abuse and attacks (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
For visitor statistics with Google Analytics, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Danish cookie rules). You can withdraw it via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.
We only send the newsletter if you have ticked the box and confirmed your subscription via the link in the email (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Your consent and how we record it
The sign-up form shows a short consent statement explaining what you are agreeing to. Every version of that statement has its own version number.
When you sign up, we record the time and the version of the statement you saw. If we change the wording later, we can still show exactly what you agreed to. Any material change of purpose will require fresh consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
5. Confirming your sign-up (double opt-in)
After you sign up, we send you an email with a confirmation link. You are only added to the early access list once you click it. The link expires after 7 days.
Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe and a link to delete your data.
6. Support requests
If you submit a support request using the form at kompasx.dk/en/support, we process your name, company, email address, phone number, customer number (optional), area, severity, subject, description, language and the time of the request.
We use this to help you with your request. The request is sent by email to WiconSoft support (support@wiconsoft.dk), and you receive a receipt by email. A copy is stored in our database as a backup in case sending fails.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering and resolving support requests and, if you are a customer, the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Support emails are sent via Twilio SendGrid (USA) as a data processor; transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Security, server logs and abuse prevention
To protect the site against spam, overload and attacks, we temporarily record IP addresses in our server logs and use them to limit the number of sign-ups from the same address (rate limiting).
This data is used solely for security and troubleshooting and is deleted on a rolling basis.
8. Who we share your data with
We only share your data with service providers that help us run the site and send email. They process it on our behalf and on our instructions, under data processing agreements.
The newsletter and the early access list use the same Mailchimp audience as WiconSoft's other newsletters (e.g. about Kompas4). KompasX contacts are tagged »kompasx«, and we only send KompasX news to people who have signed up for it. If you unsubscribe from KompasX, any other WiconSoft newsletter you have signed up for yourself is not affected.
- Hosting and database: the site and its database run on WiconSoft's own servers.
- Cloudflare: the site sits behind Cloudflare, which provides content delivery and security. Cloudflare therefore processes IP addresses and technical details of requests made to the site.
- Intuit Mailchimp: confirmed sign-ups are synchronised to Mailchimp, which we use to send newsletters about KompasX. Each contact is tagged with their language and whether their company is a Kompas4 customer.
- Twilio SendGrid (USA): confirmation emails, receipts and support emails are sent via SendGrid, which processes your email address and the content of the email on our behalf.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) – only if you have accepted analytics: Google processes your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you visit, so we can see how the site is used. We never send your name, email or other contact details to Google.
9. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Intuit Mailchimp and Twilio SendGrid are based in the United States, Google may process analytics data in the United States, and Cloudflare may process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
10. How long we keep your data
We do not keep your data for longer than necessary.
- Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmed sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, and in any case no longer than 12 months after the official launch of KompasX (expected in Q1 2027) unless a customer relationship has been established.
- When you unsubscribe, we stop all mailings.
- If you request deletion using the link in our emails, we delete your data from our database and from Mailchimp.
- Newsletter sign-ups that are not confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Confirmed subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
11. Your rights
Under data protection law you have a number of rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at kontakt@wiconsoft.com.
- The right to access the data we hold about you.
- The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
- The right to have your data erased.
- The right to restrict processing.
- The right to data portability, meaning you can receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
- The right to withdraw your consent at any time.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before you complain.
13. Cookies
kompasx.dk uses strictly necessary cookies and – only if you agree – analytics cookies from Google Analytics. See our cookie policy for details.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the site or our processing changes, for example when early access and subscriptions open. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
